YCUP PDX

Young Credit Union Professionals of Portland

"It’s about helping people’s lives be better." - Louise McCarren Herring

Our mission: Recruit, Develop, and Retain young professionals into the credit union industry.

A need surfaced for a young credit union professionals support group in the PNW and in 2008, YCUP was founded by Matt Goodwin, Jill Nowacki, Victoria King, Brett Wooden, and Chad Warneke at the Credit Union Association of Oregon's (now Northwest Credit Union Association) Annual Meeting. The group then met in Washington D.C. at one of the first Cooperative Trust CRASH the GAC events to organize. Their first official meeting was held at Unitus Plaza in April of 2010. Today, with nearly 300 participants, this passionate and dedicated crew continues to deliver cooperative, youthful innovation, and impact throughout the industry. We are the future, and the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams
