Born and raised in the Bay Area, Stephanie had the privilege of being surrounded by diversity. She later started high school in Portland, Oregon and attended Portland State University. Her career in banking began in 2010 at a corporate bank and after graduating with a Bachelors of Arts in Social Science in 2015, she discovered her passion to help her community gain strong financial literacy and homeownership. Stephanie believes financial knowledge is power!
She decided to enter the world of Credit Unions in 2018 with Unitus Credit Union as a Consumer Lending Processor and had the opportunity to attend the The World Council of Credit Unions’ Young Professional Exchange program held in Curitiba, Brazil to learn about Sicredi Credit Union system model and engage with the community. The trip fueled her passion to continue to help underserved communities and the credit union movement. Stephanie is now a Mortgage Loan Associate at Advantis Credit Union and Council Chair of their DEI council.
Stephanie can be found during her free time at community events that showcase music, poetry and art. She also thrives in diversity and loves to travel as much as she can so she can learn about different cultures. She is a dog mom to a rescued two-year-old Australian Shepherd mix, Azul, who loves to hike as much as she does.
